The Violet drama
I bought Ungu Violet VCD recently. I don't know, just felt like watching a soapy indon drama. Plus I love Dian Sastro. I had the opportunity to watch it in my own sweet time in the bedroom without interference from B. Yey. So I sunked in my pillows and set my mood for a good love story. Down through the movie, I find myself getting from one dissapointment to another. It turned out quite lame. A struggling phtographer who kept his secret of having cancer discovered a beautiful face. Kalin (Dian) who was working at the monorail ticket counter fell for this guy too. This guy (you can tell I can't remember what he's called) took her pics and sent it to his boss, who loved it, and from then on she became a famous model. And so she has admirers left and right, but this cute guy was sticking by her expecting her to like him back, becoz of all the things he did for her. But of coz Kalin's heart remains with the photpgrapher, who in turn rejected her, bcoz he didn't wanna hurt her if she knows he is sick. Ok blabla drama..the near end is good though. Kalin got into an accident. She lost both of her eyeballs (not kidding). And need donors with the right specs for her to be able to see again. The photogrphr boyrfriend started to accompany her at the hospital where she remained although his own health was getting worst. Until one day good news came their way. A donor was found. Since that news the bf doesnt come to visit anymore, that's where the suspense creeped in me. Oh no, don't tell me the bf donated his eyeballs coz he was dying and is actually dead? The eyeball transfer operation was successful. And Kalin was still guessing away who was the noble donor, while wondering where her bf is. So I was still kept in suspense, and was ready to feel sad, when she went to look for her bf at this rooftop which has a huge billboard of her face. And there sits her bf, and the end..The donor was actually this lil girl who stayed in the same hospital as Kalin, but who was seriously ill and was dying and actually did.. Oh..And one thing, the title Ungu Violet, has absolutely no relation to the movie..So it was just a gimmick..
