Happy Birthday Mu'eeeeeez

My kid bro just turned 23. Gosh how I wish I was still in that age. I think when I was 23 I was still in college too, but was still dorky in many ways..Yes..I'm a late bloomer..It takes awhile for me to be as awesome as I am today. But when I get there, I make a statement..Muahaha..Opps, this post is about Muiz, not moa..
Mom initiated this plan to have a BBQ birthday gathering for Muiz. Muiz who is studying cullinary will be preparing the bbq marinates, and will actually be cooking the bbq with his college buddies. Well, this is one party the family can totally relax to! My eldest brothers and family came by, so my nephs and niece contributed to the children squeals and screams in the house. And my bro's friends gawking laughters added the spice of noise pollution we contributed in the neighborhood that evening.
They started bbq-ing at about 3pm and we still hadn't eaten at 8pm! Me and family were hanging out in the balcony watching tv. I was in the brink of passing out, coz I was so hungry. I looked back to glance at the bbq pit, and saw that Muiz and buddies are cooking AND eating em at the same time! Ark! No wonderrrr! So we all rushed our ways to the bbq pit to grab what we could, which was not much..Argh! Haha..we should've known it was too good to be true that the chefs will be working hard at their own party. And so I settled with ONE bit of steak (which my aunt generously cut bits of hers), a few chicken wings, and seafood bbq..I was really aiming fo the steak tho..sigh..On the table we had set up, noodles, kuih-muihs, desserts, and of course the birthday cake. It's a small one, request from mom, coz she said people always cannot finish the cake.. But the cake turned out to be very delish..blackforest mocha cake.

I am sure Muiz had a fantastic time. More than 10 of his buddies came, half of dem are girls..hem hem..

Make me a pirate

Jaaaack Sparrrrrow!!!! I love it when the 'sotong man' (Davy Jones) shouted his name. Jack..oh Jack, the funniest yet coolest character in the movie. As in part I, Johnny Depp successfully potrayed a drunken pirate who's on a new mission. As we have grown to love Jack in Pirate I, in II he is even more adroable. Not to mention, the gorgeous and responsible character Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) is back looking more mature and in love. Keira who played Elizabeth Swann is a cool lady who is sexy without revealing, appeared serene and tough at the same time in this movie. Ahh...Disney was back in a vengeance. The production were so breathtaking, as this time, there is a hint of supernatural intrigue. My favorite elements in the movie were the amazing ship, the creepy crew of Davy Jones, the vintage costumes, and the turquoise sea...

Me and hubby couldn't wait to watch this movie, we caught it on the first weekend it was released, at 1U's GSC, got very comfy seats at the back row for a midnight show. I had my hotdogs and popcorns surrounding me in my seat, and besides shivering from the freezing theatre, I was also shivering with excitement as I drowned myself in the story. Now I can't wait for Part III..

Super Jambu

I saw Superman Returns. My gaze could not believe how gorgeous Brandon Routh is as the superhero. I bet they had some PhotoShop touch up/editing of his features before the final cut, but nevertheless, he is more beautiful than his co-star Kate Bosworth herself..Don't get me wrong, he's not my type, I don't dig extremely pretty boys, but it was a great feast for the eyes once in awhile *grin* The story of Superman Returns did not impress me tho. It was lame, boring, and quite slow I thought. Too much love emotions/chemistry going on in there, and the villain was not evil enough for me. I mean Kevin Spacey? Come on, even with his bald head, he could not fool me as a good soul beneath. Anyhow, I'm glad I caught it. But I am watching Pirates ' Dead Man's Chest tonight!!!!! Stay tuned for that post! Double drool time!!
