Same status cousin
Yeay my closest cousin since I was young has gotten hitched just a few months after me. Dearest Mazni, the ever modest and soft-spoken girl who had lived all her life with her family in Terengganu has found her knight of shining armour. I was so excited to see her, particularly to share with her what she will be expecting on her big day. She was not nervous (yeah, so wasn't I AT FIRST), and was blur and dreamy (been there!). Stood by her all the way along with her 2 younger sisters who were nothing but big smiles and giggles. I wore the soft pink kurung pesak just for that day and I was right in guessing that PINK will be the theme color. Yes, it is Mazni's fav color..She had her official hitching (akad nikah) ceremony at the serene Floating Mosque in Kuala Terengganu. Peaceful and a holy start of a new life. Couldn't resist a picture to pretend that we were the newlyweds..Then, back at Ami (Mazni's mom)'s house, the party is just beginning. Mazni sitting calmly, seems to have no care in the world, except to get beside her hubby as fast as she could. *Grin*. It was obvious how the wedding reception was planned to be made as simple as possible, because she didn't have a professional make up person or even a bridesmaid picked out! My sister in law Kak Faridah and Mak Long came to the rescue to do her make up. And without hesitation, I jumped into the position, and fan-ned her as the 'bidan terjun' bridesmaid for the day. Although my post not as glamourous as I thought as they did not have the merenjis ritual, I felt equally important showing Mazni the ropes on posing, posture and procedure of a so-called wedding ceremony. (I'm so full of it).Anyways, the journey and in between family hang outs to Terengganu has been quite pleasant. It's nice to have B around to do this with. I found a nice silk batik to make baju raya this year. Never was I, in my adult life was looking forward to Raya, but this year I am..

Gals day out
I gotta tell you, regardless of how much I hate to admit it, marriage somehow takes away your alone time AND your time to hang out with your galpals. Still, I always have one dear friend in my mind, and would seek every opportunity that I have to arrange hang out time with her. I was so excited when I had a chance to meet up with my pal Heng Siew again. With my hubby away for a few days, and I had an off day from work, we planned the meeting for over a week. Firstly agonising over WHICH makan place to pig out, then on whether to go spa-ing or just plain window shopping and mall-ratting. We finally decided to have Indian buffet as our lunch and later catch Bewitched! Altho was caught in jam here and there, we managed to do what was planned. Indian buffet was at The Taj Crown Princess. Totally delicious! Forgot to snap some pics of the food, but the view from the 10th floor of the hotel was superb! The roti naan was warm and crispy, and the curries tasted awesome.

Wished could've stayed longer, but we had to run to 1U for our movie. I was so excited to finally be able to test out the new GSC 1U. As hyped by my friends, it is nice, especially coz it's still new and not smelly yet..hehe.

Sua Koo
I learned a chinese word today (I thnk it's canto) as in this blog subject. It means jakun, or dork..In this case I'm a dork coz I JUST BOUGHT A DIGITAL CAMERA! Wohooo...yeah I know, big deal..80% of Malaysia probably already have one...but..I've never felt cool-er than the day I took my mini Olympus 5.1megapix home. Ok, not to brag but it is a big deal for somebody who has been using the dinosaur aged 35mm till June 2005! Arghh..and NOT to brag even more here's a shot of my latest cutie pie..
And of course, me and hubby didn't waste time but started snapping away.

Silver & Lilac
How I lurve our outfit that day. Regardless of the doubts I had of wearing full songket (as some say songket is out of date), but this one, this one, just screams “I’m fabolous!” And it served its purpose. It made us look like a divine royalty (*grin*..I try..).

That weekend was full with blessings. We can feel it by the number of guests, whom we invited and came. We can feel it by the number of guests who did the merenjis ritual, and we can see it in everybody’s beaming faces. It was the best feeling. Regardless of the heat of the afternoon on Sunday, I was all smiles and ’sengihs’.
Ahhh..finally it was time for us to have our lunch. I was surprisingly not that hungry (even if it’s after 2pm and I haven’t had lunch!).
Let me tell u about our wedding cake. It’s sweet lookin but not sweet tasting. It’s fruit cake..not my fav. Anyways, it’s more for show..

Next I have to mention my cutie pies fower gals and boys. How cute are they??! Without them, I wud have felt more nervous walking out infront of the guests. But they made me laugh and I was so at ease in the whole process. TQ Anis, Shiqa, Faris and Eiman! Mmuahs!

Goodbye Singlehood!
I should ave started this blog thing when I’m still single, it would have been fun to write about my dates/girlies-outings/loneliness/depressions/heartaches/breakups/curses to the boyfriends…But anyway, my writings may not be much different after all, for all things, honesty will be my anthem in my writings, so feel honoured to have a chance to surf into my deepest feelings and thoughts, like no one ever had..so here goes. That title for this post is a shout out mixture of hurrah and oh-ohs..Hurrah, as I am psyched that someone would actually ‘take-me’! And oh-oh, coz oh no, what have I gotten myself into? I was so excited on the wedding preps, and when the day comes, but after that, the nerves start to catch up, as I try to get used to sharing my closet space, my bathroom, having a life-size teddy bear on my bed everyday, a live-in bodyguard and tv-junkie partner. But lemme tell you how it feels like on my wedding day. Saturday was the akad nikah (the official registration), I was quite excited, esp tht morning, went to pick up flowers and the gifts (hantaran). Then my make up artist came, and can’t believe it’s about time to slip in my first wedding dress, the simple silver beaded dress with a crooked tube. My hair bun was esp huge, to allow the scarf to sit on comfortably. I LOVE the orchids on my hair..a personal touch from dad’s very own garden. And my make up, mmmuahs to ‘Kak’ Rina who did an exceptional job, of making my nose look sharp, and my jaws narrow..the wonders of make-up.
The official ceremony itself went smoothly, my hubby pronounced our tie (lafaz nikah) with one confident breath, how proud I was..But I forgotten forawhile to appear shy and reserved, as I gazed around the room like a preying bird, until I heard Pu3 (my sis in law) whispered “Muni! look down!”. Then I remembered my place.
Now lemme tell you about my mom and sis-in-law. How adorable are they. Mom was quiet, and reserved at first, until I threw my selamba-ness, and we went shopping for traditional costume, when she warmed up slowly. Adik Lucy is a cutie pie darling who showed me nothing but love and respect. Yey. And love the moment when mom came and put the necklace on, she actually cried! Aw..
