PD with AD

AD is my department name at work which is the Active Directory. Will not explain it here, you can go to Microsoft.com and search for the meaning...hehhh..So this year our team trip is to good ol PD..sad but surprisingly nice. We stayed at the fairly new Legends Water Chalet in PD. I was impressed with the room. Very exotic..Even when we're just in PD, we felt like we were in Phuket or Bali in the hotel room..Check it out for yourself when you stop by Port Dickson..

Into the 3rd year

Can't quite believe it's been 2 years. Yeah I got married in June 2005, and now June 2007 has passed. To commemorate our 2nd year, we decided to use a friend's generous voucher of hotel stay at Shangri La KL. I was very excited, because I love hotels..hotel rooms, bath tubs, buffets, fluffy pillows and king size bed. Being near Bt Bintang, we bend it like tourists, and took the monorail to Sg Weng. Browsed, ate, and hung till dinner time. Where of course, I had to visit our all time dating joint - Swensens! Got my strawberry shake fix. The next morning, we used the meal voucher for Shang's fabolous breakfast at the Lemon Garden. I was delighted that the choc fondue is also avail for the buffet breakfast! Yay. Checked out after that with much sadness..

Such a poser

I am good at doing useless and bizarre things, just for fun. The other day, my facial salon had an offer, one facial treatment = free photo package. So of course, I couldn't decline..So here's how I look as a diva wannabe..Don't laugh..oh what the heck..knock yourself out..

Back To Nature

Muiz had a few months of practical training in Mutiara Tmn Negara early this year. That gave us the opportunity to have a trip back to nature when we visited him before his training ended. Everyone was worried about the road conditions to the nature park at first, we were surprised, that it has ben fixed and is not bad for the 2 city vehicles that we drove. The duration of the trip was surprisingly not that long either. The only downer was there were not many places to stop and eat on the way. Arriving to the river banks, brought back memories. Not much difference still. We checked in our hotel first, and rested. Muiz asked us to across to Mutiara to check out his work place. But before that we had lunch/tea at a floating restaurant on the river. Breezy and with interesting view of boats passing by. Then we made it across. Emir was very happy to see wild animals during our trekking. At the wild watch out booth, we saw a couple of boars passing by. Also a few more hanging out near the chalets..Monkeys were everywhere too, also big lizards. The cross of the river by the long boat, altho very brief, was exciting enough to give us some sense of adventure. We went back to our hotel and hung out at the pool! The pool look average, but it's nice to swim in it..Even dad was lapping away. That evening we indulged to some seriously overloaded dining at the Mutiara buffet dinner. For RM50 per pax, it was considered well stocked, as we had oysters, lamb chops, all kinds of seafood, pasta and even choc donuts and fried bananas for dessert. Total yummers. We were all so full that night, we were lucky the boat back across the river did not sink..heh. Next day we had crummy breakfast at the hotel where we stayed. Then met Muiz to take some of his bags, then drove home..

Movie month!

We got backrow seat tickets to Pirates Of Carribean At World's End recently, and was very excited to watch it. This time my man is Will Turner (Orlando) as opposed to Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp). I still love Sparrow, but this time, Will who turned into a bad ass pirate (oops sorry for those who haven't watched, shame on u) in the end, and he looked absolutely smashing in that pirate headbands..argh..OK calm down.

Then come school holiday we decided to go watch Shrek 3 with the whole family. Wohoo we roamed 1U like nobody's bizness. Makan at Genki Sushi, walked, saw cartoon carnival happening at the concourse, until got a lil tired waiting for the movie time. Movie time, the kids were well behaved, and enjoyed the movie, alto Emir wanted to doze off at one time. I find the movie rather too kiddish hehh.. still, it was a nice outing.

Happenings

I organised a farewell for fellow colleague who is leaving the team. It wasn't tough to find a venue as he requested for Sri Ayutthaya himself..(no shame..haha)..no la, it's good so tht I dun have to crack my brains to figure out where to makan at the limited places in Cyberjaya/Putrajaya.

Then, it was another colleague's birthday. Yeay, cake time..I bought blueberry cheesecake from where else bu Secret Recipe this time..ok lar..not a huge fan of cheesecake, but the blueberry is still so irresistable..

Yet, another birthday. This time is my nephew Eiman.. Another cake party..yeay. This time it's black forest cake.

Then, it's one of our dearest buddy at work's farewell. This is a sadder farewell, as she will be leaving the country! All the best love! (Yeah, off she goes to good ol' London). We had a makan together at Cosy Corner Alamanda. It was nice, the hang out, the jokes, the talks, altho the food was not that great..

Fraser's

The whole family drove up to Fraser's Hills one weekend and stayed in the shell apartments Pine Resort. We had a good breakfast at the mamak before the winding journey. Along the way, we stopped at a small yet cosy waterfalls, where the kids didn't waste time and splash some water.
Upon arrival, it was nice to reach the comfy 3 bedroom apartment. We rented two, so there was ample space for everyone. We hung out, cooked some cucur, eat, drink. Then that afternoon drove down to downtown Fraser's (heh), and walked about the clock tower, had some snacks, and then dinner. Then went back, washed up and packed infront of the tv to watch AF finale (haha). It ended late, and everyone were all yawny and exhausted. Yeah also the cool temperature makes u feel soooo sleepy all the time. Bedtime. Next morning, I was up before I wanted to, due to the bright sun shining into our room. I walked out in the balcony, and there was the most gorgeous sunrise. It brought stunning shadows through the clouds which were lower than the hills. Magnifique. We all left the apt, most without shower, and headed to the Jeriau waterfalls. It was a lovely hike tht morning, with the sound and sight of gushing streams on your left. The end of the path was the high rising (or should I say falling) waterfalls. As it was cold weather, the water was even colder. But I still waded in it, as it's so refreshing. The kids played with the sands, and B dived in. We were there for not more than an hr, as we needed to head back to the apt, washed up, and checked out. Then we drove down to the Flower nursery which was nothing impressive, and looked for a so-called strawberry farm, which was similarly sad.

Had lunch at this cosy restaurant behind the mosque. Then we started our journey home which was quick and painless. It was nice to be in the cool climate even just for the weekend, and I'll always love Pine Resort apts..Until next time!
